The ACAS (Asian Heart Rhythm Association) Young Electrocardiologists Forum was successfully held on April 20, 2024, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Taiyuan, Shanxi. Hosted by Professor Wang Rui from the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, the forum featured discussions on the future trends in electrophysiology and complications in radiofrequency ablation.

The event was honored by the presence of Professor Yan Yao from Fuwai Hospital, one of the key founders of ACAS. Experts and electrocardiologists from various cities including Taiyuan, Datong, Linfen, Yangquan, Yuncheng, and Jincheng gathered to discuss the latest advancements and safety issues in electrophysiology. 



Professor Yan Yao delivered an insightful presentation on the past, present, and future of cardiac electrophysiology, with a particular focus on the promising PFA (Pulsed Field Ablation) technology. His sharing of Fuwai's modified radiofrequency ablation procedures was highly appreciated, sparking lively discussions among the attendees.

The forum also included three sessions on complications related to embolism, coronary spasm, and anatomical abnormalities. These sessions provided a platform for in-depth exchanges and discussions, with Professor Yao offering his expert analysis and insights on each case. These interactive sessions were invaluable for participants, helping them to learn from real-world scenarios and enhance their surgical skills to better safeguard patient health.

In the afternoon, the electrophysiology team from the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University shared insights on AVNRT (Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia) and advanced electrophysiological examinations, reinforcing foundational knowledge and improving diagnostic capabilities.

The seminar concluded successfully, with participants expressing their gratitude and highlighting the importance of such forums in advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care. They look forward to more such events that contribute to the growth and progress of the medical field.
