The First Committee of ACAS completed the Vice Chair certification and RWE launch

At the 2026 ACAS, the ACAS-LAAC Committee held the certification ceremony for its Vice chair and launched a new Real-World Evidence study on the concomitant procedures of atrial fibrillation catheter ablation combined with left atrial appendage closure.

Professor Yao Yan, President of ACAS, affirmed the Committee’s groundbreaking achievements in two landmark initiatives – the formulation of technical specifications for the concomitant procedure and the launch of a video-based follow-up program for post-procedural LAAC patients. In his opening address at ACAS, He also stated that more Committees will be established under the ACAS framework to advance the training, evidence-based practice, and regional collaboration in the field of cardiac arrhythmias across Asia.

Professor Hu Hongde, Chair of the LAAC Committee of ACAS, presided over the certification sessions for Vice Chairs and new members, and announced the dimensional considerations for subsequent reelections and contribution assessments.
